PREREQUISITES: GS2’s must first be updated to 21.3 or later.
CRITICAL NOTE ABOUT THE UPDATE: This update will take less than 10 minutes to complete. It includes both low-level firmware updates as well as security updates to the underlying operating system. Upon reboot, it may take several minutes for the system to start up while the operating system updates are applied, with both the STATUS and CAMSTAT LEDs flashing during this time.
DO NOT DISRUPT THE SYSTEM DURING THIS TIME.
IMPORTANT: GRIDSMART v21.12 introduces breaking changes to the Processor API. The API now only returns JSON response types with the exception of a few legacy endpoints. See the updated API documentation for details and reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions.
NEW: Date, Time, and NTP settings are now configured in the GRIDSMART Device Manager (Web App). These settings have been removed from the GRIDSMART Windows App.
NEW: The Volume Exceeded alert now includes an optional Time Window variable that allows agencies to control how many minutes of recent volume data are used in determining the alert status. Historically, the Volume Exceeded alert monitored the volume for the entire day starting at midnight until the current time.
NEW: Configuring Alerts and Auto Reports no longer requires a publish. This makes the configuration of Alerts and Auto Reports similar to other settings configured in the Web App. A future release will enable configuring Alerts and Auto Reports in the Web App.
FIX: Fixes a bug where newly published Pedestrian Wait zones did not begin detecting pedestrians until the Processor was restarted. Pedestrian Wait Zones now begin tracking, detecting, and counting immediately.
FIX: Fixes a bug on systems with 2 Bell cameras that caused Pedestrian Wait zones and Pedestrian Crosswalk zones in one of the Bell cameras to not detect or actuate when pedestrians were present.
IMPROVEMENT: Improves pedestrian tracking and counting accuracy in Pedestrian Crosswalk zones depending on the intersection layout.
IMPROVEMENT: Reduces occurrence of false detections in certain left-turn zones (correspondingly in right-turn zones in left-side driving locales), particularly those with occlusions.
IMPROVEMENT: Improved night counting accuracy in the presence of occlusions.
