PREREQUISITES: Gridsmart Processor MUST first be updated to 23.2.5
CRITICAL NOTE ABOUT THE UPDATE: It includes both low-level firmware updates as well as security updates to the underlying operating system. Upon reboot, it may take several minutes for the system to start up while the operating system updates are applied, with both the STATUS and CAMSTAT LEDs flashing during this time.
DO NOT DISRUPT THE SYSTEM DURING THIS TIME.
When the update is complete, it will be indicated in two ways:
The phase LEDs on the front of the processor will all turn green.
The Web App displays a progress bar during the update that will show that the update has completed and the system is rebooting.
NEW:
SmartView - Performance dashboard for insights into camera connectivity, system hardware, and detection health. Camera and Hardware indicators are calculated on a rolling 5-minute period. Detection will immediately update as conditions change.
Categories
Camera - Combination of connection stability and frame rates.
Hardware - Evaluation of power supplied from GS processor camera ports to cameras.
Detection - Detection health and visibility status (Fog/Glare).
Definitions
Optimal - System is performing optimally.
Good - System performance is temporarily degraded. Detection health is not affected and should return when conditions change.
Fair- System performance is suboptimal. Check connections and if problem continues, please contact support.
Detection overlays on HLS (HTTP Live Stream) and RTSP streams - Vehicle zones can be toggled on or off by the user to show or hide vehicle detection. (Port to toggle zones on and off is 8554. Port 9000 is still available for video stream without detection zones ONLY)
Video quality settings to optimize bandwidth as needed
Password reveal button everywhere a password is required.
IMPROVED:
Web App UI Code Updates - General enhancements to user messaging and notifications.
RESOLVED:
An issue with GS2 processors failing to successfully complete the software update when LDAP is enabled and “Bind Password” field is blank. Password field is now mandatory and software update will complete successfully.
An issue in the Desktop App where some processors would not display “System is in Learning Mode” notification during initial startup.
An issue when recording to an external drive, GS3 processor memory can fill up and degrade system performance or prevent accessibility.
An issue when a user removes or disconnects from a site, the “Modules” section of Site Info within the Desktop App may not display expected modules. Note: that this issue did not remove the features of installed modules from the GS processor.
An issue with the license uploader in the Web App accepting unsupported file types.
GS3 Processors now support manual adjustment of the date and time settings.
