"Include In Approach" is a Vehicle Zone option parameter which can be turned On or Off as the site configuration dictates, but is On by default. When Include In Approach is On, it means the vehicle counts for that zone will be included in the summation of data for the assigned approach when running reports grouped by approach. If it is set to Off, they will not be included. Typically, this option is On for zones at the stopbar, but would bet set to Off for set-back or mid-intersection zones in the same lane or approach. In this way, you avoid double-counting vehicles for that approach.
